From new product innovations to more in-person and digital events than ever before, we continued building tools and connections that help store owners thrive. As we wrap up the year, we’re excited to look back on what we accomplished together — and give you a sneak peek at what’s coming in 2026.

This year, we doubled down on community. We hosted a series of in-person networking events and store-hosted gatherings, creating opportunities for resale shop owners to connect, share ideas, and grow together. On top of that, we expanded our digital library by offering webinars and “lunch & learn” sessions, making it easier than ever to join us online no matter where you are.

Welcoming New Customers & Sharing Success Stories

We welcomed a wave of new customers in 2025 — and many of them have already seen real results. Their stories, featured in customer case studies and on our press page, highlight the variety of shops thriving with SimpleConsign.

We have expanded our customer success story library. Miss Lilly’s Trading Post in Suffolk, VA, transformed a historic 1910 building into a bustling consignment marketplace. Vibe Consignment scaled from 100 to 800 consignors after switching to SimpleConsign. Outdoor gear shop Second Gear in Asheville, NC streamlined inventory and POS operations while growing demand, all while successfully recovering from the devastating 2024 floods caused by Hurricane Helene. And Brooke’s Boutique, started by a former nurse, built her store from the ground up with our platform. These stories are a testament to how SimpleConsign partners with consignment and resale shops of all kinds to help them grow and thrive!

Launching the Help Center

Earlier this year, we brought all of our documentation, guides, and support materials together into one easy-to-navigate Help Center. Now, everything you need to learn, troubleshoot, or explore SimpleConsign is available in one place — making self-serve support simpler than ever.

AI-Powered Inventory: Introducing AI-Automated Item Entry

2025 marked a big leap forward: our new AI‑Automated Item Entry officially launched. Instead of manually typing in every item detail, store teams can now upload one or two photos of an item — and our AI will suggest descriptions, categories, pricing, brand, condition, and more. 

Because of this feature:

  • Item entry can be up to 5× faster — freeing up time for staff to focus on selling instead of data entry.
  • For stores on the Professional plan, usage limits were expanded to 2,000 uses per location per month — giving large or busy shops the flexibility to take full advantage of the feature. 

We've heard directly from stores that this has been a game-changer for managing inventory swiftly, especially ahead of busy sales periods!

Product Improvements & Updates

Behind the scenes, we shipped a variety of platform updates — many based on direct feedback from users. Some highlights:

  • Rolled out new features like customizable tag-color scheduling by location — so stores can “set it and forget it” when applying consistent tag colors.
  • Added improvements to reporting, customizable payouts, and other backend tools — all meant to help stores manage consignors, inventory, payments and reporting more efficiently.
  • Implemented a Merchant Surcharge Program through SimplePay + CardConnect allowing stores to share the costs of credit card processing with customers.
  • Improved our QuickBooks Online integration by allowing for multi-location syncing via the QuickBooks departments feature and allowing for ACH payouts to sync as well.

All these updates — big and small — moved us closer to our vision of making consignment retail simpler, smarter, and more scalable.

Continued Product Innovation

Behind the scenes, our product team is already working on more updates and powerful features. 

  • Price Pole: Ability to display to customers the amount items are ringing up for and the total of the transaction as it’s being completed by the cashier.
  • Merge Tool: (This is currently in beta) Ability to merge duplicate consignor + customer accounts.
  • Cash Rounding: A solution to the end of the penny in the U.S. Will also accommodate larger coins being discontinued in our other regions like Canada, New Zealand, Australia.
  • Consignor Archive: Ability to archive consignor accounts.
  • Updates to our Consignor Access portal: Improving usability, including better password/login flows, improved vendor/dealer item management (like the ability to withdraw sold or out-of-stock items), and filters to hide withdrawn items.
  • Vendor Mall Improvements: We’ll continue to implement improvements targeted toward Vendor Malls and Space Management.
