Kaahreena Ochoco’s journey into the resale world began back in 2012, sourcing items from thrift stores and flea markets to sell on platforms like Poshmark and eBay. After moving from Southern California to Oregon in 2019, she committed to reselling full-time—just before the pandemic disrupted traditional sourcing channels.
When thrift stores shut down, Kaahreena adapted quickly, turning to friends and family for inventory and selling on consignment out of a one-bedroom apartment. This resourceful approach led to her first physical store in 2022—a modest 250 sq ft basement space. Just a year later, she had outgrown it and moved Vibe Consignment into a vibrant, 2,500 sq ft storefront, rebranding along the way.
Managing inventory and payouts manually made growth difficult. Initially using Excel spreadsheets, Kaahreena tracked each consignor individually but quickly found it unmanageable after reaching 20 consignors. Her first software solution, Aravenda via Shopify, worked temporarily but lacked the robust reporting and scalability she needed for her growing business.
“Staying organized was one of my biggest challenges. Handwriting tags and manually calculating payouts was keeping my business from growing.” — Kaahreena Ochoco
As Kaahreena prepared to move into a larger location, she sought a professional software solution that could grow with her business. SimpleConsign offered the reporting, scalability, and integrations she needed—and made the onboarding process seamless.
With SimpleConsign, Vibe Consignment has achieved impressive growth in a short time:
“I’m not super savvy with numbers, but the dashboard and Insights App show me exactly what I need to know about my store’s health.”
With a new Shopify-integrated website and a vision for expansion, Kaahreena plans to grow Vibe Consignment into a national brand. She credits SimpleConsign as a key partner in scaling her operations efficiently and professionally.
“SimpleConsign will definitely be one of our main tools for growth. I hope to open more locations around the US!”
