Overview

The Vault is a high-end resale store in Brentwood, MO. It is run by a team of three: a mother and her daughters, as well as a staff of 21. The store has gained popularity over the years, being featured on a 13-episode docu-series called "Resale Royalty." The Vault uses SimpleConsign to enhance its operations and reach the next level of success.

The Vision

Increase online sales so it outperforms in-store revenue.

The Challenge

Before 2020, The Vault did not have an online store. This was a huge problem during COVID-19 when stores shut down and sales ground to a halt. To rectify this, The Vault needed to update its existing website to include e-commerce capabilities. They aimed to streamline their operations by using a platform that could manage inventory both in-store and online.

The Solution

SimpleConsign + Shopify

The Vault chose SimpleConsign as its POS provider and integrated with Shopify to power its online store.

When asked how these strategic partners help The Vault get ahead, Diana Ford, the store's co-owner, explained:

"SimpleConsign helps us get ahead through inventory control. We are able to code and categorize things in a way that works really well with our online store.

For example, it can pull from our online listing if an item sells in-store. So we don't have to separate our online and in-store inventory. It works seamlessly with Shopify."

The Results

Online sales have accelerated The Vault's growth, and they are now preparing to double down once again.

Adding e-commerce with SimpleConsign's Shopify integration has paid off, Diana said. "Now we're shipping to 18 states a day, and we're loving it!" It works so well we're going to add live shopping.

The set-up has also helped with pop-up events and charity fundraisers. Namely, the additional reporting makes it easier for The Vault to understand what they've earned and what should be given back to charity. When questioned about the impact this has made, Diana smiled proudly and replied, "To date, we have given over $2 million dollars back to the St. Louis community."

The next step for The Vault is "taking online shopping to a whole new level by adding Facebook and Instagram live selling to the website" through Shopify and a third-party partner.

None of this would be possible without SimpleConsign's Shopify integration. So the Vault's decision to choose SimpleConsign as their resale point of sale provider is paying off. With its full suite of features like advanced reporting and inventory management, The Vault is clearly positioned for success.
